LLMs are weird computers

Philip Carter calls LLMs “weird” or “inverted” computers because of how differently they behave compared to the things we’ve been calling computers for almost a hundred years. They’re adept at fuzzy tasks but need special handling for precision work. We’ll have to figure out what to make of this.
